With Florida losing farmland at the rate of 175 acres a day, it is important to all of us to preserve and appreciate the small farms we have in our region. Waterfront Markets Inc is committed to connecting consumers with our local farmers.

Ponce Plantation, Sweatmore Ranch, Garden of Eaten and Three Oaks Winery were the farms featured during the 100 mile trek through the countryside on April 3, 2013. Garden of Eaten is a chicken and spice farm specializing in several varieties of garlic and produce.

Additional 2013 tours are scheduled for June 12 and October 25. Tickets are $20 and include bus fare, farm activities and a gourmet farm lunch. All ages are welcome. Call 850.763.7359 for reservations or email info@waterfrontmarkets.org.
